In a momentous recognition of its innovative irrigation and drinking water initiatives, the government of Telangana has been internationally acclaimed at the World Environmental and Water Resources Congress held in Nevada, USA. The state's flagship Kaleshwaram Project, known as the world's largest multi-stage lift irrigation venture, and Mission Bhagiratha, an ambitious drinking water initiative, were lauded for their engineering prowess by American civil engineers. The American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) gave global acknowledgment to the Kaleshwaram Project, with these remarkable feats of Telangana attaining high-status accolades at the Congress.
