In a fiery address during a roadshow at S. Kota in Vizianagaram district, Telugu Desam Party (TDP) national president Chandrababu Naidu rallied the people to unite and combat what he claimed were the "corrupt practices" of the ruling YSR Congress Party government in Andhra Pradesh. Accusing the YSRCP administration of perpetrating large-scale organized corruption, Chandrababu Naidu specifically pointed to their policies concerning liquor, sand, and mining. He vehemently asserted, "The government is shamelessly profiting from public funds by selling local liquor brands at exorbitant prices. The absence of transparent UPI payment channels forces citizens to pay for liquor in cash, conveniently evading proper audits. Furthermore, the government has hiked power tariffs a staggering eight times in just four years, with intentions to raise them again due to exorbitant rates of power procurement from private companies." Taking aim at the allocation of house sites for the underprivileged in the R5 Zone of Amaravati, Chandrababu Naidu expressed dissatisfaction with the government's efforts.
