The President of the Movie Artists Association (MAA), Manchu Vishnu, has taken action against member and actress Karate Kalyani by issuing show cause notices. This comes after Karate Kalyani recently made derogatory remarks against veteran actor NTR. In the show cause notice, she has been asked to provide an explanation within three days for her disciplinary violation. Karate Kalyani had criticized the installation of a statue depicting Taraka Rama Rao as Lord Krishna. As the National Women's President of the All India Yadava Sangha, she expressed her objection to the unveiling of the statue of the former chief minister NT Rama Rao dressed as Lord Krishna in Khammam, stating that it should be halted. Meanwhile, Telangana Minister Talasani Srinivas Yadav met with Karate Kalyani and suggested that she cease her protest at Indira Park regarding the statue controversy.
