Hyderabad: In a shocking incident in Hyderabad's Rahmat Nagar division, alert locals prevented a mother from throwing her infant into an open Nala. The incident sent shockwaves through the community. According to the sources, the disoriented mother, accompanied by her newborn and three-year-old child, reached the Nala and attempted the distressing act. However, vigilant locals swiftly intervened, rescuing the infant and ensuring her safety. The police arrived promptly, providing medical assistance to the mother, who had suffered fits during questioning. Investigation revealed that she is suffering from fits for the last few days and her husband neglected her well-being due to alcohol addiction. The husband was summoned for counselling.
