Manipur: Seventy students from Andhra Pradesh, stranded at the National Institute of Technology (NIT) Imphal due to violence in Manipur, have prompted their families to request the state government to send a special aircraft for safe evacuation. Concerned for their children's safety, the parents have asked the Andhra Pradesh government to follow the Telangana government's example, which is dispatching an aircraft to rescue its citizens. The Andhra Pradesh government has established a helpline and control room at AP Bhavan, New Delhi, for assisting its students in Manipur, with helpline numbers 011-23384016 and 011-23387089. Meanwhile, the Telangana government is taking all necessary precautions to secure its citizens in Manipur, with a special cell to monitor the situation. Approximately 250 Telangana students are studying in Imphal and nearby areas. The government plans to airlift these students from Imphal to Hyderabad on Sunday using a special flight.
