It has been reported that Congress leader Rahul Gandhi is in the process of vacating his bungalow located in Lutyens' Delhi. On Friday afternoon, witnesses saw boxes being loaded onto a truck outside his house. The Lok Sabha Housing Committee served Gandhi a notice to vacate the 12, Tughlaq Lane bungalow following his disqualification as a member. He has been given a deadline of April 22 to vacate the premises. In 2019, Gandhi was convicted and sentenced to two years imprisonment in a criminal defamation case after making a remark about the surname of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. This resulted in his disqualification as an MP from Wayanad in Kerala by the Lok Sabha Secretariat.
