The controversy surrounding the privatization of Visakhapatnam Steel Plant is still a hot topic in the political arena. Recently, Jana Sena chief Pawan Kalyan voiced his opinion on the matter, responding to a statement made by Union Minister of State Faggan Singh Kulaste. Kalyan urged the state government to take a more proactive stance on the issue. In a press note released by Kalyan, he emphasized that Visakhapatnam steel should remain under the control of the central government. Meanwhile, earlier today, Visakhapatnam MP and Steel Plant Workers Union met with the Union Minister. While the MP reported a positive response from the minister, the Steel Plant Workers Union claimed that the minister did not confirm that the privatization of the steel plant would be stopped.
