On the occasion of the BJP foundation day celebrations, Bandi Sanjay, the Telangana Bharatiya Janata Party president, wrote an open letter to the party leaders and cadre. In the letter, he claimed that his arrest in the Class 10 examination paper leakage case was part of a larger conspiracy by the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) government led by chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao. However, he said that such conspiracies would not demoralize the party and its cadre. According to Sanjay, he was targeted after he questioned Minister KTR on the paper leak case. He added that the BRS government had "foisted false cases" against him only because he had taken up the cause of the 30 lakh unemployed youth who had suffered due to the leakage of question papers of recruitment tests conducted by the Telangana State Public Service Commission.
