Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy launched the 'Family Doctor' program at Linganguntla village in Palnadu district. Addressing the gathering, CM YS Jagan said that the residents of the state can avail medical facilities at their doorstep through the Family Doctor concept, just like the pension scheme. CM YS Jagan further said that the Family Doctor concept will become a role model for the entire nation and added that undoubtedly, other states will copy and implement the program. He also mentioned that bedridden patients can avail treatment at their doorstep. CM Jagan said that 14 types of medical tests will be available at Village Clinics, and 105 types of medicines will be provided. Additionally, he said that every Mandal has two PHCs and every PHC will have two doctors.
