New Delhi: A video of the incident has since gone viral on social media, showing Kajal walking in a lane in Delhi's Prem Nagar when her father-in-law approaches her with a brick in his hands. He confronts Kajal and repeatedly hits her in the head with the brick as she tries to leave. The video shows Kajal attempting to flee, but her father-in-law chases her with the brick. Praveen rushed Kajal to Sanjay Gandhi Hospital, where she received 17 stitches to treat her head injury. Kajal's parents, who reside in Faridabad, have filed a complaint against her father-in-law, resulting in a case being filed against him by the officials.
