Visakhapatnam District administration and Greater Visakhapatnam Municipal Corporation(GVMC) have announced that they are ready to host the G20 summit meetings on 28 and 29 March 2023 after the successful conduct of the Global Investors Summit 2023. The theme of the 2nd Infrastructure Working Group (IWG) meeting, which is a part of the G20 Summit, is ‘Financing Cities of Tomorrow- Inclusive, Resilient and Sustainable.’ The authorities have arranged several events and programs to ensure maximum participation from the citizens of the city before the G20 Summit. These events include a City Yoga Drive, a Vizag City Marathon, and a showcase of the state's art and culture during the India vs Australia ODI match on 19 March.
