Tension ensued during the ongoing East Godavari district tour of Telugu Desam Party (TDP) chief Chandrababu Naidu as his car was hit by another vehicle in Boorugupudi. Although there were no injuries reported, the accident caused damage to the bumper of the vehicle in which Chandrababu was travelling. Chandrababu Naidu is on a three-day tour of the combined East Godavari district as part of the 'Idam Karma Mana Rashtraniki' programme. The locals gave him a grand welcome as he started his roadshow from the Rajahmundry airport. However, the accident happened soon after the start of the tour, creating a ruckus. According to the reports, Chandrababu was unharmed, and everyone breathed a sigh of relief. The incident has raised concerns about the safety of political leaders during such tours and events.
