Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy presided over a cabinet meeting on Wednesday, where several welfare initiatives were approved and their implementation schedules were established. The launch of the YSR Kalyanamastu and Shadi Tohfa programs was set for February 10th. The eligibility criteria require both bride and groom to have passed 10th grade, with benefits doubled from previous schemes. The government will allocate Rs 38.18 crore to aid 4,536 families, with payments disbursed in February for marriages from October to December and in May for those from January to March. The YSR Law Nestam stipend of Rs 35 crore will be granted to 65,537 junior advocates on February 17th, and the government has established a welfare fund of Rs 100 crore for advocates, with Rs 25 crore already distributed to 17,000.
