The recent announcement by Nellore Rural MLA Kotamreddy Sridhar Reddy of his plans to leave the ruling party has sparked a heated debate in the state. In response, former minister and Gudiwada YCP MLA Kodali Nani made scathing comments against Kotamreddy during a media interaction in Tadepalli. Kodali Nani accused Kotamreddy of leaving the party due to his unfulfilled desire for a ministerial position. He also pointed out that all political leaders in the state have a number of phones, but it is impossible to listen to them all. Kodali Nani also stated that Chandrababu has a history of using phone-tapping software and reminded Kotamreddy of his previous statement that he and other MLAs became MLAs because of the current Chief Minister, YS Jaganmohan Reddy. He emphasized that the CM's aim is to appoint representatives from all castes, not just a single caste. Kodali Nani pointed out that there are senior leaders like Pinnelli Ramakrishna Reddy and Gadikota Srikanth Reddy
