The controversy surrounding phone tapping has reached the YSRCP leaders, as two members have made similar allegations. Nellore Rural MLA Kotamreddy Sridhar Reddy first claimed his phone was being tapped, followed by YSRCP MLA Anam Ramanarayana Reddy from Venkatagiri in Nellore district, who alleges his phone has been monitored for over a year. The MLA from Venkatagiri expressed his concern over political uncertainty in his constituency and fear for his safety, stating that he has to resort to using WhatsApp to communicate with his family. He raised the question, "If our own party leaders are tapping my phone, who can I turn to for complaint?" He added that he has never seen such practices within a political party.
