Siddipet: In a tragic incident, five people were killed and one injured severely when a car they were traveling in fell into a canal near Mungigadapa village of Siddipet. The driver lost control of the vehicle and it hit a culvert, causing it to fall into the canal. According to sources, the car was carrying six people at the time of the accident. Four people were killed instantly, one died while undergoing the treatment. The injured person was rushed to a nearby hospital for treatment. The deceased have been identified as residents of Bommalaramaram, Bhongiri. The group had reportedly just returned from a pilgrimage to Vemulwada when the accident occurred. Police have registered a case and an investigation is underway.
