Hyderabad: Heavy rains lashed several parts of Hyderabad on Monday and many areas were inundated with flood waters. People suffered due to huge traffic jams in the city due to waterlogged roads. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) issued a yellow alert for Hyderabad on Tuesday. Heavy rains accompanied by thunders were reported in the city and it impacted the traffic in several parts of the city including Secunderabad, Banjara Hills, Begumpet, Punjagutta and other roads in Madhapur and other areas. Nampally received the highest rainfall 9.2 cm. 19 disaster teams indulged in rescue operations.
