The police once again served a notice to Raja Singh, a suspended M.L.A. for the BJP. Notices were issued separately in connection with the cases registered at the Shahinayat Ganj and Mangal Hat police stations under sections of the C.R.P.C. 41A. At Mangal Hat P.S., a case was filed against Raja Singh on February 19. Officials from the state electoral commission protested in Mangal Hat PS about offensive remarks made by him during the polls in Uttar Pradesh. Shahinayat Ganj P.S. received another case report on April 12. SI Rajeswara Reddy expressed his displeasure over a provocative song played during Sri Rama Navami Shobhayatra in the Begambazar "Chatri" neighbourhood. In Shahinayat Ganj P.S., a case has been filed in this regard under various sections.
