Tirupati, May 31: The police cracked the mystery behind missing case of a woman after five months of probe. According to police, Padma of Korlagunta here got married to software engineer Venugopal in 2019. He started harassing Padma after four months of marriage. As she was vexed with the behaviour of Venugopal, Padma decided to divorce him. Families from both sides tried to resolve differences between them but Padma did not change her mind. Venugopal thrashed and killed Padma and stuffed her body in a suitcase. He dumped the suitcase at a lake near Venkatapuram, Renigunta. Later, he lodged a complaint of wife missing with police.
