Srikakulam: In a tragic incident, at least five were killed and several injured severely after a train ran over them. The incident took place in Srikakulam, Andhra Pradesh on Monday night. According to the reports, a few passengers in the Secunderabad-Guwahati express train pulled the chain citing a smoke emerged from the coach and tried to cross the tracks. But, unexpectedly, the Bhubaneswar-Mumbai Konark Expressed coming in the opposite direction ran them over. Five persons died on the spot and several were injured severely. The injured persons were shifted to the hospital for treatment. Andhra Pradesh CM YS Jagan Mohan Reddy expressed anguish over the incident. He ordered the officials to provide better treatment for the injured.
