Plot
Sanjay Vishwanath (Suriya) is the heir to a wealthy business family. While looking after the family business, he also fulfils his mother’s (Radikaa Sarathkumar) wish by becoming a skilled shooter. He represents India at the Olympics and wins a gold medal.

However, because of his personal views about marriage, shaped by certain incidents that happened in his family during childhood, Sanjay remains unmarried even after crossing 40. His mother repeatedly asks him to get married and give the family an heir.

Following a doctor’s advice, Sanjay travels to the US and has a baby boy through surrogacy. Unexpectedly, the child falls ill, and circumstances make the biological mother’s presence necessary for his recovery.
Sanjay then travels to the US in search of the woman who gave birth to his son. Does he find her? Does she agree to come to India, and what conditions does she set? Does Sanjay eventually fulfil his mother’s wish and get married? How does Maddy (Mamitha Baiju) enter Sanjay’s life, and what changes does she bring? The answers form the rest of the story.

Analysis
Vishwanath & Sons is an emotional family entertainer that combines family sentiments with decent entertainment, making it a film that the whole family can comfortably watch together. Director Venky Atluri maintains a pleasant and heartwarming mood right from the opening scene until the end. It has been quite some time since Suriya appeared in such a stylish role. The director chooses a backdrop that suits Suriya’s personality and blends it effectively with family emotions.

The age gap between the lead characters, Sanjay becoming a father through surrogacy, the emotions connected to the child, and the way the female lead is written are handled well. Throughout the film, there is a satisfying feeling of watching a wholesome movie. Venky Atluri deserves appreciation for keeping the narrative engaging without allowing it to lose momentum. Dialogues such as “Even anger and hatred get tired after some time” also leave the audience with something to think about.

At several places, Venky Atluri’s writing and presentation bring to mind Trivikram’s style. In particular, Sanjay’s interaction with driver Muthuswamy and his son during a TV channel interview, along with the emotional scenes involving Anjali Devi (Raveena Tandon), her daughter and their family, are likely to leave viewers emotional.

Such sequences do more than simply create sentiment; they also make the audience reflect on relationships and family bonds. Even the action episodes included for Suriya’s mass fans are presented in a classy manner. The climax also maintains the same restrained and classy tone.

Performances
Suriya looks stylish and refreshing as Sanjay Vishwanath. He brings dignity and sophistication to the character, and the film does not make an unnecessary effort to hide his age. His performance in several emotional sequences is particularly effective.

Mamitha Baiju is another major strength of Vishwanath & Sons. Her energy and natural performance add considerable freshness to the film. Venky Atluri has designed her character effectively, and Mamitha makes the role feel convincing and lively.

Radikaa Sarathkumar delivers an appealing performance as Sanjay’s mother. Raveena Tandon, Nasser, Sunil Reddy and the supporting cast fit naturally into their respective roles.

Technical Aspects
Venky Atluri handles the family emotions and entertainment with good control. GV Prakash Kumar’s background score strengthens the emotional mood of the film without overpowering the scenes.
Nimish Ravi’s cinematography gives the movie a pleasant visual quality, while Naveen Nooli handles the editing. The production values are also impressive.
