Former Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu faced extended deliberations in the ACB Court in Vijayawada concerning his arrest in connection to the Skill Development Corporation scam case. The proceedings, which commenced at 6 a.m., persisted for over six hours. While the prosecution pushed for a 15-day judicial custody of Chandrababu Naidu, his lawyers vehemently resisted this request. Almost a day after detaining him, the Crime Investigation Department (CID) presented Chandrababu Naidu before the court. Chandrababu Naidu did not shy away from expressing his views, vociferously labelling his arrest as unlawful and a direct product of the political maneuverings of the YSR Congress Party government. According to Chandrababu Naidu, the very essence of the rule of law has been tarnished in the state, as the government is infringing upon the fundamental rights of its citizens.
