The former Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh and national president of the Telugu Desam Party (TDP), N. Chandrababu Naidu, was arrested by the Andhra Pradesh police in Nandyal early on Saturday. The arrest is related to a corruption case involving skill development programs. After his arrest, Chandrababu Naidu was taken to the Special Investigation Team (SIT) office in Vijayawada. It's expected that he will be brought before an ACB court later in the day. His arrest took place at RK Function Hall in town, where TDP activists put up resistance before he was taken into custody. According to a warrant issued by the police to TDP leaders, Naidu faces charges under various sections of the Criminal Procedure Code.
