Google commemorates the 60th birth anniversary of Bollywood luminary Sridevi with a special doodle. Born in 1963 in Tamil Nadu, Sridevi featured in nearly three hundred films spanning four decades. She was wedded to film producer Boney Kapoor and leaves behind daughters Janhvi and Khushi Kapoor. The doodle, illustrated by Mumbai-based guest artist Bhumika Mukherjee, pays homage to the iconic actress in a signature dancing pose that she was renowned for. Sridevi embarked on her acting journey at the tender age of four, debuting in the 1967 Tamil film "Kandhan Karunai." Early in her career, she showcased her talents across various genres, gracing Tamil, Telugu, and Malayalam cinema. In their portrayal of her, Google Doodle states, “Following the film's triumph, she and her co-stars soared to greater fame with a series of hits like 'Guru' and 'Sankarlal.' Revered as the epitome of Tamil cinema during that period, Sridevi's magnetic on-screen presence captured the attention of Hindi film producers as well."
