A case has been lodged by the police against 20 individuals, including TDP chief Chandrababu, related to the Punganur violence. The incident took place in Angallu of Tamballapalle Constituency within the Annamayya District, leading to the registration of a case at Kurabalakota Mandal Mudiveedu Police Station. Chandrababu has been designated as A1, while Devineni Uma, Amarnath Reddy, and Ramgopal Reddy are marked as A2, A3, and A4 respectively. Additionally, Nallari Kishore Kumar Reddy and Dammalapati Ramesh are among those implicated. The complaint, filed by Umapati Reddy, has prompted legal action against 20 individuals including Narahari, Sriram Chinababu, and Pulavarthy Nani. The police First Information Report (FIR) specifies that charges have been pressed for attempted murder and criminal conspiracy.
