Representatives from the AP Sarpanchula Sangam met with Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman to raise their concerns about the diversion of funds allocated to the panchayats by the state government under the 14th and 15th financial commissions. TDP MPs Rammohan Naidu and Kanakamedala Ravindrakumar accompanied them during the meeting. After the meeting, YVB Rajendra Prasad, the leader of the Sarpanch Association, addressed the media, stating that they have requested a high-level inquiry into the alleged illegal actions of the AP government, which they claim has misused the panchayat funds.
