Vicharpur, situated in Shahdol district of Madhya Pradesh, has transformed into a hub of young football talent. The journey from being notorious for illegal liquor and drug issues to becoming a football stronghold began around 25 years ago when Rais Ahmed, a former national player and coach, recognized the potential in the village's youth. With limited resources but unwavering determination, Ahmed started coaching football to the youngsters, leading to the village gaining prominence in football circles. Today, Vicharpur boasts a program called Football Revolution, providing sports training to the youth. The remarkable success of this initiative has seen over 40 national and state-level players emerge from the village.
