Madhya Pradesh: In a disheartening turn of events, a male cheetah has become the seventh big cat casualty at Madhya Pradesh's Kuno National Park (KNP) in less than four months. The monitoring team discovered neck injuries on the cheetah earlier today and immediately alerted veterinarians. Despite their efforts to treat the injuries, the cheetah named Tejas succumbed to his wounds later in the day. The Principal Chief Conservator of Forests, JS Chouhan, stated that investigations are underway to determine the exact cause of death, pending an autopsy. Earlier, the deaths of six cheetahs, including cubs, raised concerns about the reintroduction project's challenges in the park.
