Hyderabad: A heated controversy erupted over the wearing of hijab during the degree Urdu medium supplementary examination at KV Rangareddy Women's Degree College in IS Sadan, Hyderabad. According to the sources, Muslim female students arrived at the college wearing hijabs but were reportedly advised by the staff not to enter the examination centre with the head covering, leading to a confrontation between the students and staff members. Following a tense situation, some students reluctantly removed their hijabs and proceeded to take the exam. However, they expressed disappointment and regret for having to remove their hijabs in order to gain permission to write the exam, claiming that such incidents had not occurred previously. The college administrators have denied the allegations of restricting hijabs in the examination centre, asserting that there were no such restrictions imposed. Meanwhile, the parents of the affected students have complained with the state's Home Minister, Mahmood Ali. The minister has assured a thorough inquiry into the matter
