Cyclone Biparjoy has made its terrifying landfall, targeting the vulnerable regions of Saurashtra and Kutch. With a colossal eye measuring a whopping 50 km in diameter, this cyclone means business. As it strikes the west coast, winds across Gujarat have intensified to a fearsome level. The experts at IMD (Indian Meteorological Department) have emphasized that the next few hours until midnight are absolutely critical. In a press briefing, an official shared, "Once the mighty eyewall makes contact with land, brace yourselves for a deluge of heavy rainfall and powerful winds, followed by an eerie calmness." According to the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF), the cyclone was classified as a 'Very Severe Cyclonic Storm' during the landfall, but it is expected to transition into a 'Severe Cyclonic Storm' soon. The wind speeds reached a staggering 95 kmph, with Nalia surpassing Jakahu Port as the hardest-hit area.
