Madhya Pradesh: Tragedy struck in Kuno National Park as one of the four cubs born to Namibian Cheetah, Jwala, met a heartbreaking demise on Tuesday. The recent loss of a cub, born two months ago, brings the total to four fatalities among cheetahs translocated from African countries to Kuno National Park in the past two months. Preliminary investigations suggest that the cause of death for the cub was weakness, raising concerns about the well-being of the translocated cheetahs. A vigilant monitoring team made the distressing discovery when they found one of the cubs motionless at the location where they were previously sighted. In contrast, the other three cubs were observed moving around energetically with their mother. Realizing the critical condition of the ailing cub, the team immediately alerted veterinarians, who swiftly arrived at the scene to provide essential medical care.
