Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy deposited Rs. 123.52 crores into the accounts of 1,23,519 fishermen families under the YSR Matsyakara Bharosa scheme. He also deposited Rs. 108 crores into the accounts of 23,458 fishermen who lost their livelihood due to the construction of the ONGC pipeline. The YSR Matsyakara Bharosa scheme was launched by the Jagan government in 2019 to provide financial assistance to fishermen during the annual fishing ban period. The scheme provides Rs. 10,000 per year to each fisherman family. During the event, CM Jagan expressed his displeasure towards opposition leaders Chandrababu Naidu and Pawan Kalyan. He accused Chandrababu Naidu of engaging in divisive politics and challenged him to contest elections without forming alliances, despite boasting about his ability to shape national leadership. CM Jagan also criticized Pawan Kalyan for his electoral defeats and the inability to field candidates in all 175 constituencies.
