Nandyala: In a tragic incident at Avuku Reservoir in Nandyala district of Andhra Pradesh, a boat carrying 12 tourists capsized on Sunday. The accident claimed the lives of two women, while one person is still missing. The incident took place during a boat trip that was being taken by a family from Thanjavur and some other tourists. The police and rescue teams were immediately alerted and arrived at the scene to provide assistance. Out of the 12 tourists, 11 were rescued and brought to the shore. However, despite their efforts, one woman died after being brought ashore, while another woman passed away while being treated at the hospital. The deceased women have been identified as Ashabi and Noorjahan. The search operation for the missing person is still ongoing. Officials stated that due to Sunday being a busy day for tourists at the Avuku Reservoir, there were many people present. However, many casualties were avoided as the tourists were wearing life
