Amaravati: The Andhra Pradesh government attached the guest house of Telugu Desam Party (TDP) chief and former Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu in the Undavalli. Sources said that the government took action under the Criminal Law Amendment Act, 1944, after informing the local judge. The guest house, located on the banks of Krishna river, was built by businessman Lingamaneni Ramesh. The CID had alleged that Chandrababu Naidu had misused his position as Chief Minister to get the guest house in return for favours to Lingamaneni Ramesh. The CID further alleges that Chandrababu used his influence to make irregularities in the CRDA master plan and Amaravati Inner Ring Road alignments to benefit Lingamaneni Ramesh. The investigation revealed a gross violation of laws and guidelines of the Central Vigilance Commission and general financial rules. The CID has asked the government to attach the property, and the state government has acted accordingly.
