Andhra Pradesh, Thursday - Telugu cricketer and Chennai Super Kings player, Ambati Rayudu, met with Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Reddy at his Tadepalli camp office, sparking rumors of a potential political career with the YSR Congress Party (YCP). Over the past few weeks, Rayudu has been increasingly vocal about his support for the Chief Minister on various social media platforms. This has led to growing speculation about his political aspirations, which he has previously expressed a desire to explore. While there had been widespread speculation that the cricketer would join the Telugu Desam Party (TDP), his recent commendations for CM Jagan have shifted the narrative dramatically. A Guntur native, Rayudu retired from international cricket in 2019 but continues to play for the Chennai Super Kings in the 2023 Indian Premier League (IPL). He has expressed a keen interest in creating opportunities for the youth, particularly in aiding their pursuit of professional sports.
