Hyderabad: The Kedarnath temple area is experiencing heavy snowfall, causing oxygen levels to drop and posing health risks to elderly pilgrims. Officials have asked people not to venture out of their accommodation areas and declared an orange alert in Kedarnath. The Kedarnath Yatra has already been canceled due to inclement weather, and arrangements are being made to bring the pilgrims stuck in Kedarnath down on horses. About 150 Telugu people are reportedly among those affected by the situation. Registration of pilgrims in Rishikesh has been temporarily suspended, and the trip will continue depending on the weather conditions, said officials. People with heart disease are advised to take precautions.
