Rajahmundry: The Andhra Pradesh Crime Investigation Department (CID) officials arrested former Telugu Desam Party (TDP) MLC Adireddy Apparao and his son TDP State Executive Secretary Adireddy Vasu in Rajamahendravaram today. It is learnt that the arrest was made in connection with the Jagadishwari and Jagajjanani chit fund case, and the two are currently being interrogated in the Rajamahendravaram CID office. TDP leader Pattabhiram has condemned the arrests, accusing the CID of using them to divert attention from Avinash Reddy. The arrest has sent shockwaves through the local TDP party, with TDP leaders protesting outside the CID office, claiming that the arrests were politically motivated.
