Anantapur: In yet another incident of chain snatching, a woman was robbed of her jewelry in broad daylight on Thursday morning in the Naranga area of Anantapur. The incident has raised concerns over the increasing number of chain snatchings despite the police taking several measures. According to sources, the victim, identified as Marekka, was sweeping infront of her house on 5th road in Naranga when two men on a Pulsar bike stopped in front of her. One of the men approached her under the pretense of asking for directions and snatched the chain from her neck when he realized there were no other people around. The incident was recorded on CCTV cameras installed in the street. The police registered a case and investigation is underway.
