Andhra Pradesh Minister Amarnath accused BRS leaders of making politically motivated statements. He questioned the timing of their bid submission for the Visakhapatnam steel plant when they had previously stated their opposition to privatization. While reaffirming the YSRCP's stance against privatization, the minister dismissed media speculation about Telangana's position, stating that there had been no official statement from the government. Accompanied by fellow minister Sidiri Appalaraju, Amarnath visited the Bhavanapadu greenfield port under construction in Srikakulam district. He announced that the Chief Minister would lay the foundation stone for the port near Vishnuchakram village on the 19th of this month.
