Karimnagar: Bandi Sanjay Kumar, the President of Telangana's BJP and MP, was taken into custody after midnight on Wednesday from his home in Karimnagar, in advance of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's scheduled visit to the state. A group of policemen reportedly arrived at the MP's residence and detained him. The incident led to a tense environment, as the supporters and party workers of Bandi Sanjay attempted to prevent the police from taking him into custody. It is reported that police issued him notices under CrPC 150. Policemen were seen dragging Bandi Sanjay and forcing him into a police van.
