Congress MP Revanth Reddy offers shelter to Rahul Gandhi

Hyderabad: Congress leader Rahul Gandhi has been convicted of contempt of court by a Surat court after making remarks about Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The court sentenced him to a jail term and disqualified him under Article 102(1)(e) of the Constitution and Section 8 of the Representation of the People Act, 1951. In addition, the court ordered him to vacate his official residence, which was allotted to him as a member of the Lok Sabha.

Rahul Gandhi has responded by announcing his willingness to vacate the bungalow, thanking Lok Sabha Secretariat Deputy Secretary Dr Mohit Rajan for his cooperation. Despite this, Malkajgiri Lok Sabha member of the Congress party and Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee chief Revanth Reddy has extended an invitation to Rahul Gandhi to stay at his residence, emphasizing their bond as members of the same political family.
