In an effort to provide nutritious meals to schoolchildren in Andhra Pradesh, the state government has decided to include 'raagi jaava', a millet soup, as part of its midday meal program called Jagananna Gorumudda. As per the vision of Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy, a glass of this nutritious soup will be served three times a week to students in government schools from grades 1 to 10. During his address at the Tadepalli camp office, the Chief Minister announced that the new menu item, 'raagi jaava', will now be a part of the Jagananna Gorumudda scheme. He added that this nutritious food will be provided to approximately 38,00000 students across 44,392 government schools in the state. Furthermore, he expressed his gratitude to the Satya Sai Trust for joining hands with the state government in this initiative.
