Two pilots of the Indian airline SpiceJet have been suspended after allegedly consuming coffee and sweets in the cockpit of their Boeing 737 during the celebration of the Hindu festival of Holi. The pilots reportedly did not follow Indian aviation rules regarding food and beverage consumption in the cockpit. The Indian Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) has launched an investigation into the incident, and SpiceJet has grounded the two pilots while the investigation takes place. Pilots not following the rules regarding food and drink consumption in the cockpit can face harsh penalties.
