The Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, YS Jagan Mohan Reddy, is scheduled to make an appearance before the NIA court in Vijayawada on April 10. The court had issued a summons for his presence on that day, along with his personal assistant Nageswara Reddy. The ongoing trial at the NIA court in Vijayawada pertains to the assault on Jagan Mohan Reddy when he was the opposition leader, at the Visakhapatnam airport. The court had previously ordered the victim's presence for questioning and had provided a schedule for the same, which has now been finalized for April 10. The accused, Srinivasa Rao, has been incarcerated since the incident and has not been granted bail. At the last hearing, the judge had also inquired about the knife used in the attack.
