On Tuesday, Kavitha, a member of the Telangana Legislative Council, visited the Kondagattu Anjana Swamy Temple located in the Jagtial district. Kavitha was commemorating her birthday and arrived at the temple around 5 am to participate in special rituals. She performed the pujas at the temple and later, the priests conducted special pujas for Sri Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy. As a gesture of respect, the priests presented her with the theertha prasadam, a holy offering of the lord. Historically, the temple was constructed approximately 300 years ago by a cowherd. The present-day structure was renovated 160 years ago by Krishna Rao Deshmukh. The temple is dedicated to the main deity Anjaneya Swamy, and also houses the idols of Lord Venkateswara, Goddess Alwaarula, and Goddess Lakshmi.
