Kerala: On Tuesday, police reported that a bus driver who was seriously injured in an alleged moral policing attack on February 18 has died at a hospital in Thrissur district, Kerala. The victim, Sahar, 32, from Cherpu in Thrissur, was assaulted by a group of men as shown in a video that surfaced soon after the incident. Sahar, who was a bachelor, had gone to meet a married woman friend near a house at Thiruvanikkavu around midnight when he was brutally attacked by an eight-member gang. The suspects are believed to be locals who lived near the woman's house and had been loitering in the area around midnight. The incident was recorded by a CCTV camera installed at a nearby temple. Sahar was admitted to the hospital and put on life support but succumbed to his injuries.
