Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar's interruption of a farmer for speaking in English has caused a stir at an event in Patna. Amit Kumar from Lakhisarai was sharing his life journey in English at the Bapu Sabhagar auditorium when the CM interrupted him, reprimanding him for using too many English words and asking him to speak in Hindi instead, stating that he was in India, not England. The event was organized to mark the inauguration of the "fourth agriculture roadmap" of the state government, but the incident has taken center stage. Despite the farmer resuming his speech, he was interrupted again for using the expression "government schemes" instead of "sarkaari yojana." Nitish Kumar, who is an engineer by training, defended his position by stating that he was educated in English but only used it for academic pursuits, questioning why the farmer was using the language in day-to-day life. The flustered speaker apologized before resuming his speech.
