Meerut: In a shocking incident in Meerut on Sunday night, a container truck crashed into a car on Delhi Road. The incident occurred after an argument between the drivers of the car and truck. The truck driver, reportedly under the influence of alcohol, crashed into the car and dragged it for about two kilometers. Three passengers in the car were able to jump out and save their lives. Despite attempts by police and witnesses to stop the truck driver, he continued to drag the vehicle until he crashed into a pillar of metro construction. The truck driver was eventually dragged out of the vehicle and beaten by locals before being handed over to the police. A video of the incident has gone viral on social media, showing the truck crashing into the car and being dragged while onlookers can be heard shouting and trying to stop the driver. In the video, an autorickshaw can also be seen following the truck.
