AP former minister Vatti Vasanth Kumar passes away

Visakhapatnam: Former Minister and senior Congress leader Vatti Vasanth Kumar took his last breath on Sunday morning at Apollo Hospital in Vizag, where he was undergoing treatment for his illness. He was a resident of Poondla, West Godavari District, and he was elected twice as a Member of the Legislative Assembly for Unguthur in the 2004 to 2009 elections.

During his tenure as MLA, Vasanth Kumar was elected to the YS Cabinet in 2009 and served as the Minister of Rural Development in Roshaiah's tenure. He later served as Tourism Minister in Kiran Kumar Reddy's Cabinet.

His mortal remains will be shifted to his hometown of Poondla, West Godavari District to conduct the final rites.
