Vijayawada: The Republic Day celebrations were grandly held at the Indira Gandhi Municipal Corporation Stadium in Vijayawada on Thursday. State Governor Biswabhushan Harichandan unfurled the national flag and received the salute of the armed forces. On the occasion of Republic Day, the AT Home program was also held at Raj Bhavan on Thursday evening, attended by Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy, his wife YS Bharathi, High Court Chief Justice Prashanth Kumar Mishra and other officials. Governor Biswabhushan Harichandan has reciprocated the kind gestures of the attendees. Reports indicate that key leaders of opposition parties were not in attendance.
